This is also posted in our Rules thread, so if you read that, you do not need to reread this. This thread is simply for easier access and locating before CoP runs for our members.
CoP Areas
CoP Areas operate under a different set of rules. Regular AFv2 drops are distributed according to current job selection and standard priority rules, but accessories and AFv2 -1 items are treated differently.
CoP Eligibility
CoP lotting eligibility, as applied below, will be established by having earned 60 Total Points Earned (job change adjustments not applied) as well as having 10 or more Recent Points.
Accessories:
Members may choose one job before each run for accessories, and put this in /seacom. There will be four lotting tiers:
1) All CoP-eligible members with the job selected and able to equip.
2) All CoP-eligible members (any job) able to equip.
3) All ineligible members with the job selected and able to equip.
4) All members with the job 60+.
5) Freelot.
AFv2 -1:
Members may choose one job before each run for AFv2 -1, and put this in /seacom. There will be four lotting tiers:
1) All CoP-eligible members with the job selected, able to equip, and owning the NQ version.
2) All CoP-eligible members (any job) able to equip, and owning the NQ version.
3) All ineligible members with the job selected, able to equip, and owning the NQ version.
4) Freelot.
AFv2 costs a significant amount to upgrade, and members not actually intending to buy currency for the upgrade should not lot against members who do intend to complete the item.
Members may choose different jobs before each CoP run.
"Able to equip" means having the job leveled to the appropriate level, not necessarily being in attendance as that job.
Some quick pointers we often get asked about:

[Vx edit 1/12/11: accessory ineligibility period removed]

- The ineligibility period after winning an accessory at tier1/2/3 has been eliminated.
